Every class ends with the same question: what are you taking home?

For S.P.I.T. 20, the answer was a lot more than they expected.

Surveillance Training: Why Day 2 Humbles Every Student

If one theme ran through the feedback, it was Day 2. Students head into the field expecting surveillance to look like the movies, and they find out fast that it doesn't.

Surveillance is not as easy as you think PI training feedback

"Surveillance is not as easy as you think," Damon wrote. Lisa named Day 2 as her favorite part, especially "seeing where we went wrong," staying covert, and learning the dos and don'ts. Getting it wrong in a controlled setting is the fastest way to get it right when it counts.

For Lisa, the big surprise was counter-surveillance: once you learn to watch, you learn to spot who's watching you.

Learning Investigation Skills from a Real Case

Time with Frank on real investigations was another highlight. Damon's favorite part was simply "going through the investigation with Frank." Lisa pointed to the evidence collection sessions and hearing how Frank's work brought justice to a family.

A real case shows why the fundamentals matter.

Is Private Investigator Training Worth It? What Graduates Say

This PI training was so informational and a full-fledged experience

Asked what they'd tell someone on the fence, Damon said, "It's more information than you think it will be, and it's well worth it." Lisa called the training "so informational and a full-fledged experience," and added a line at the bottom of the page:

"Worth the investment!"
